While the final results at the polls showed a tough climb in a deeply Democratic stronghold, I still consider this a personal and professional win in more ways than one. I worked hard to grow support in our city by more than 200 votes over the last election. I was welcomed into hundreds of conversations, listened and learned about what matters most here at home, and had experiences I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t trade any of it.
I stood firm in my values and pushed past limits I once thought impossible — never compromising the promises I made. Speaking in front of 300 people is no small feat, and this campaign helped me grow in ways I never expected.
I want to take a moment to thank my family (both near and far), especially MaKayla, Benjamin, and Isabella. Thank you for being my foundation and supporting me through all of this. Your love and belief in me pushed me farther than I’ve ever been and for that I am so incredibly thankful.
To the City and County Committees, my colleagues, every running mate and friends made along the way: your support made all of this possible. This isn’t goodbye… it’s see you soon.
And to my opponent, David Kerr — I wish you success in serving Area 10. Our community deserves the best from all of us.
To a better tomorrow — thank you to everyone who believed in me, and in what we’re building together. 💪
